That is why life is always fascinating.
Someone told me that life is like a box of chocolates that is full of different surprises. You never know what you are going to get next. And from a very Chinese philosophy aspect, you can always learn from what happened to you, no matter good or bad. When you take the ownership of your self-learning and improvement, no one can stop you from being stronger!
That is why life is always fascinating.

I had the opportunity to take a cruise-trip vacation with my family this summer. Boarding at Venice, we then cruised around Europe through Greece, Turkey, then Italy (Rome, Florence, and Sorrento), and then we disembarked in Barcelona.
It was an awesome experience to see the cultures, the amazing architectures and absolutely stunning views during this trip. When we go traveling, there is so much to experience, to enjoy, and to share, but there is so little time.
I don't know how I did it, but I did! During the summer break I spent 10 days traveling in south France, Lyon, and finally ended up in Paris all by myself. It was my first time travel to some places where English is not the first language and I did this trip just on my own. The experience? Amazing. I was in Marseille, Nice, Monaco, Eze, Lyon, and Paris. I loved the architectures, the landscapes, the food, and the lovely hotels I have stayed with. It remains priceless in my travel experiences ;) (but I hope I will not travel just alone again anymore) I was in London from Aug 10 till Aug 13...SO LUCKY got to watch the male final football match! it was definitely memorable and the atmosphere at the stadium was just crazy. My friend and I went to Mandarin Oriental's dinner by Heston Blumenthal. It was a great experience to see and compare dinning places from city to city. Interior is quite elegant and romantic, however personally I feel quite weird that we have to walk though the entire lounge bar area before getting to the reception desk of the restaurant. Food wise everything was really nice...REALLY like the spiced pigeon :) i think who ever go to that restaurant should try that. I was home during the summer of 2012. being away from home for almost 3 years, i felt strangely excited when I arrived at the airport of my home town - Guiyang. Yes it is different from many parts of the world, but I have to say, there is no other place can be the same as Guiyang. it is unique and elegant as always in my heart. :) Most of the attractions around Guiyang area is not yet very well-known among international travelers. However, as far as I know it becomes a very hot spot for Chinese summer tourism. Some amazing places to go around Guiyang include huang-guo-shu waterfall, qing-yan town, qian-ling park and etc. On my trip to qing-yan town, I saw something amazing and it reminded me my childhood in China. It was a Chinese artist who used melt brown sugar to draw figures (you can choose either you want a dragon, or a turtle, or a bird, or any kind of animals). When I was in elementary school I used to see something like this around our school. Kids just love to buy it not because they craved for sugar, but it was really amazing to watch how the artists did it. Amazing. |
