1. mobile-user friendly
By 2015, IDC (the international data croporation) is forecasting that smartphone sales will reach 982 million and all research points to mobile use surpassing traditional desktop use within the next few years. It is important for hoteliers to understand the importance of the use of mobile apps. In addition to average mobile apps, "last-minute booking" also has emerging and becoming a popular trend lately. Expedia reports that 65% of hotel bookings within the last 24-hour window are via mobile, and 15% for flight bookings. How can companies make more business potential out of this could be very interesting. 

2. Influencing customer purchasing behavior: knowing what they really want leads to increase in booking

Unlike the past, today's customers have a range of tools and research platforms to help them to search, compare, and make final purchasing decision. In one word, it is even harder for today's customers to stay loyal to your company if you do not know how to adapt to their real needs. In designing our booking process and service, we need to keep in mind that the final products we present to customers are just reflections of what we think or we believe that our customers want. Without constantly keeping up with the most advanced technology and trends, you cannot get into the customers mind and know why they choose something else but not you.
3. Think new market, think "solomo"

You think you are already on top of everything? Think again. We have already seen the growing numbers of outbound travelers from China, India, Brazil, and Russia. For example, Chinese outbound travelers have grown more than 70% just in 2012, how can you stay in competition with Asian hospitality companies which already have a standing-out brand image in this particular travel market's perception? 

Hotel industry is known to be traditional. But this time we need new strategies and changes to make it appear fresh to our customers. Flexibility to innovation and change is one of the most important keys lead to the success.
